Germany wins again!

Germany won again in its second World Cup match! This time it played Poland. It had several opportunities to score in the first half but all was to nought until the last 90 seconds of play when they finally scored a goal to win the game. The German team played much better defense in this game; they really contained the Polish offense and gave them very few opportunities to try to place a goal. The German goalie also played much better this game. Their offense was fantastic. Most of the match the German team was on the offensive, trying over and over again to score. On to the next match!

The win caused pandemonium in the streets of Gmünd and I'm sure all over Germany. People singing, cheering, waving flags, praising Klinsmann, many toasts, etc. The German team could pull it off and win this World Cup just as they did the last time the Cup was played here. They have the homecountry advantage, incredibly enthusiastic fans, and tremendous national feeling behind them.
