Nudist sauna thriving in Gmünd

Yes, you heard it hear first, there is a nudist sauna in the outskirts of Gmünd. The historic German penchant for fitness, nudity and the outdoors remains a strong part of the culture. This manifestation of it is called Waldsauna and because we received a gift of free entry we went the other day. It is not exactly in a "wald" as the name implies, which means forest. It is actually located in the industrial area of the suburb Waldstetten. Yet, everything is in the nude and there are many different saunas to choose from. There's the wood sauna, the earth sauna, the typical dry sauna, a steam sauna and one of my favorites, a revitalization sauna where soothing music is played and lights in the ceiling like stars change colors. There's also a swimming pool in which you can frolic. Despite its location, a visit to the Waldsauna is a very relaxing experience. It should be a must on anyone's travel plans in this area of Baden Wurttemberg.

Nuding through Europe. That could be a documentary.

Sounds lovely and freeing.
