St. Nikolaus Day arrives!

December 6 is St. Nikolaus Day in Germany. Children leave their shoes outside the front door the evening of the 5th and in the morning they find small gifts, candies, fruit, etc. in them. It is a holiday more for children although some adults do it also. Everyone talks about it, whether they received something or not. At work, school, on the TV news, talk of St. Nikolaus is everywhere.
St. Nikolaus Day is also practiced in other countries. Slovenia, Hungary and Austria, for example, have the same holiday.
