The Limes Thermen

In Aalen, 30 kilometers east of Schwäbisch Gmünd, there is a bath complex called the Limes Thermen. It has been a bath since the Roman times. The whole place has been very beautifully designed and is on a hilltop overlooking the city.

There are different pools to choose from, two inside and one huge one outside. Each one has different jets you can enjoy. There is also a big jacuzzi and several saunas, including a scent sauna. In the latter you can sit for hours while relaxing, soothing scents wash over you. There is also a light therapy room where you can lounge in a beach type chair while the lights change color overhead. The same light therapy can be found in the dry sauna. The different colors are meant I believe to affect different emotions and moods within you. It might become a necessity during the long cold German winter!
