Watch "Dinner for One" and have a German New Year!
I have taken a week off from blogging but will be back next year with many new tales. Look forward to stories about Ulm, a visit to Hegel's house, more commentary about Bush and American foreign policy, the surreal nature of the American embassy in Frankfurt and strange but true aspects of german society and culture.
I will leave you in 2006 with a little story about the television show "Dinner for One" which has long been the German New Year's tradition. It is a short British cabaret sketch and is a cult classic in Germany and several other European countries. The show is virtually unknown, however, in Britain and English speaking countries.
