One out of seven

Just to give you a sense of the importance and power of the auto industry in Germany, one out of seven Germans are employed there. Amazing. I had no idea that the industry was so vast or so influential. Sure, I knew of BMW, VW, Daimler-Chrysler and others, but I did not know their enormous size in terms of employment and influence on the economy. It goes without saying that if the auto industry stalls, so does the economy....
